This Mission
Every journey has a beginning.
From Pain to Purpose by Lavaina was born from love, loss, unwavering faith, and the belief that God can bring purpose from even our deepest pain.
This mission is dedicated to the life and legacy of my beloved son, La-Wahon Dwight “The Biggest 33” Hutchinson.
Although his time on earth was far too short, his life continues to inspire every book I write, every story I share, every conversation I have, and every person I encourage.
What began as one mother's journey through unimaginable grief has grown into a mission of helping others find healing, hope, faith, purpose, and the courage to keep moving forward.
My prayer is that every visitor who comes here leaves knowing they are not alone, that healing is possible, and that hope still has the final word.

In Loving Memory of Keyon
My cousin — who was truly like a brother to me.
Just two weeks after losing my son, I lost my cousin Keyon — someone who was so much more than a cousin. He was a brother to me in every way that mattered.
Keyon was loyal to the core. He loved his family and his friends deeply, and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for the people he called his own. But above all, he loved his children — they were his heart, his pride, and his greatest joy.
Losing him so close to losing my son shaped this mission in ways I still cannot fully put into words. His love, his loyalty, and his light continue to walk with me through every chapter of From Pain to Purpose.
Rest easy, cousin. You are forever loved.
