Hello, friend

I'm so glad you're here.

I'm Lavaina — a mother, a writer, and a woman who has walked through a grief I never planned for. This space was born out of the ache and the healing that followed, and it exists for one reason: to remind you that you are not alone, and your story is not over.

Whatever brought you here today — curiosity, heartbreak, hope, or simply a quiet moment with your coffee — you are welcome. Stay as long as you need.

My story

It began in the middle of a pain I never planned for.

I have known both the sweetness of holding my child and the ache of losing him. For a long season I had no words — only questions, only tears, and the quiet whisper of a God who refused to leave me there.

Slowly, gently, purpose began to grow in the very soil where my heart had broken. From Pain to Purpose is the fruit of that season — every book, every reflection, every word I share is rooted in the belief that God can take what breaks us and use it to help someone else heal.

This is my life's work, and it is written in my son's memory.

My mission

To help hearts heal through faith, hope, and love — and to remind every parent, believer, and dreamer walking a hard road that they are seen, they are loved, and their story is not over.

My vision

A community rooted in faith and softened by grace — where healing is honored, hope is contagious, and purpose grows in even the hardest soil.

What we hold dear

Three threads woven through everything here.

Faith

A quiet, steady trust in the God who stays close when everything else falls away.

Hope

The gentle certainty that healing is possible and your story is far from over.

Love

A soft place for weary hearts — welcomed, honored, and never rushed.

“What the enemy meant for evil, God used for good.”

Genesis 50:20
